About Tooth Whitening
Zoom In-House Tooth Whitening
Zoom Whitening is an in-office teeth whitening procedure that brightens stained or discolored teeth in one visit. Using ultraviolet light to supercharge the whitening gel, Zoom Whitening whitens teeth up to eight shades in one procedure.
What to Expect from Zoom In-Office Whitening
The Zoom whitening procedure consist of up to four fifteen-minute sessions. We take great care to make sure your eyes, lips and gums are covered and protected throughout the procedure. The whitening process begins with an application of whitening gel. The Zoom lamp catalyzes the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide, allowing oxygen to enter the enamel and dentin to bleach the stained substances white maintain the tooth’s structure. After each session, the old gel is removed and a new layer is applied. Within just two hours, Zoom patients will see a brighter smile. In addition to the Zoom whitening procedure, patients receive a set of customized trays for touch ups and maintenance.
Many people want a brighter whiter smile! With Zoom in-office whitening, Heck Family Dentistry can help achieve that in just one visit. With four years of experience working with Zoom in-office whitening, our dental assistant, Anjelica, enjoys performing the procedure for patients and seeing their reactions to the immediate results.
Additional Whitening Options
There are many options out there for teeth whitening such as tooth pastes, strips and take home trays with gel. These options are an alternative to whitening but require more out of patients such as daily application and avoiding food and drinks that stain teeth such as coffee and red wines during the whitening process and up to two weeks after.
However, with Zoom in office treatment, you can walk out with beautiful teeth up to eight shades lighter. Furthermore, you only have to avoid staining food and drinks for forty-eight hours after treatment. In addition, the added bonus to having a professional whiten your teeth is the minimization of risks or side effects such as sensitivity and gum irritation.
