When choosing a dental practice, you’ll want to make sure that you do your research, visit their website, read their bios, and learn more about the services they offer. It can also help to meet with the dentist and team to better determine the type of vibe and attention they provide.
On average, a typical dental checkup and teeth cleaning costs between $200-$350. However, this price point is ultimately determined using various factors such as the geographic location and your dental health.
The normal process for this type of visit begins with reviewing your oral and overall health history as well as going over any concerns you might have. You’ll need a professional cleaning, X-rays, and an oral cancer screening as well.
If you have dental insurance, make sure to use it, as most companies agree to cover 80-100% of the cost.
In the United States, the average cost of tooth extraction runs between $150 and $400. Much like a dental checkup and teeth cleaning, the price will vary based on different factors. These might include the location of the practice, the type of tooth that needs to be removed, whether the tooth has partially erupted or is impacted, and if you require additional preparatory procedures.
There may be additional fees included if sedation is required, but if you have dental insurance, you’ll want to make sure to use it to help pay for your treatment. Most insurance companies include tooth extraction as part of their coverage, so while you may have to pay a portion out of pocket, you may be able to lower your cost by filing with your insurance provider.
